Floorcare UL

FLOORCARE UL is a three part, self-smoothing epoxy underlay system designed to achieve a flat & level surface to lay epoxy floor coating & toppings.

FLOORCARE UL is composed of liquid epoxy resin, hardener, properly selected & graded aggregate & many additives. It is used as an underlay below floor toppings for floors in residential & commercial buildings, industrial floors because it has excellent self-smoothening properties, hard & tough coating surface with strong adhesion to the substrate. It provides an economical method of levelling those prior to laying epoxy coating/topping.

TYPES OF APPLICATION :

The floor receiving FLOORCARE UL must be sound, dry, fine-grained and load bearing, free of laitance, loose and brittle particles and substances which impair adhesion such as oil, grease, rubber skid marks, paint or other contaminants. The bond strength of the substrate must be at least 1.5 MPa. Ensure that the compressive strength of floor concrete is at least 25 MPa and that floor slabs directly in contact with the ground have a proper vapor barrier installed and the moisture content of substrate shall not be higher than 4% through out.

Temperature Requirements: Substrate temperatures in between 15°C – 35°C & Material temperatures in between 15°C 30°C. Very low or very hot temperatures will make application more difficult and careful consideration should be given to storage of materials.

Remove all oil, grease, etc. using a degreasing solution. Brush the floor with a hard broom or wire brush. Remove all dust and loose matter using a soft broom or industrial vacuum. If wetting of the floor has taken place during preparation it must be allowed to dry out before commencement of FLOORCARE UL application. Repair damaged or deeply pitted areas using Floorcare RM (Three component Resin with graded filler system). filled out with additional aggregate.
