V-Crete Color Hardener
Colored Dry Shake Surface Hardener
Ready-to-use surface hardener for colouring and hardening freshly poured concrete; typically used to provide the base colour for stamped concrete.
Ready-to-Use Surface Hardener is designed for:
Stamped Concrete
Sand Faced Concrete
Exposed Aggregate Concrete
- Sub-surfaces must be prepared in a manner consistent with good concreting practices. Please refer to instruction guides provided in standard commercial offer.
- Two to three dry shake applications are generally required for uniform coverage. There should be a minimal amount of bleed water on the surface of the concrete before applying V-CRETE COLOR HARDENER.
- Before broadcasting color onto the prepared surfaces, empty half of the contents of the bag into a clean, dry pail and aerate color before broadcasting on surface. For the first application, broadcast evenly over area using a casting-type motion using about 70 – 75 % of the color. Avoid clumping.
- The second/ third application should use the remaining 25 – 30% to complete the coloring process. Caution must be used when spreading color more than 1 mtr or under windy conditions.
- When finishing, be careful not to overwork the surface, because excessive troweling may cause the color to darken.
